  • Dr. Candice Taylor

I am currently a small animal veterinarian and have been practicing for 7 years, starting in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne and then moving over to the east. I have previously been an associate, manager and sole charge vet and was keen to join a larger team with some great mentors that could help me further expand my skills! And am happy to say I have found that at Ferntree Gully Vet Hospital! I originated from a small town called Winchelsea and went to high school in Geelong. I then found a longing to move to the big smoke and made the move to Melbourne! (But yes I will always remain a Geelong Cats supporter!) I graduated from the University of Melbourne with a degree in Veterinary Science and prior to this completed a Science degree at Monash University. My passions are surgery, pharmacology, dogs and rabbits! I have two dogs – one being a Great Dane x Bulldog called Frankie and another a Chow Chow x Japanese Spitz called Malaya. Both dogs are rescue dogs and have adjusted very well to our home and to each other! My favourite things to do would be beach visits, relaxing with a wine and a good movie, keeping fit and working out and having a nice overnight stay at a good hotel or air bnb. I also love to travel and have been many places!
